Friends of Plassenburg Association

During its history of more than 75 years, the Friends of Plassenburg Association has supported the preservation, the meaningful use and research on the history of Plassenburg Castle above Kulmbach.

An important aspect of the association’s work is advertising for this unique fortress and residential complex.

With over 400 members, the Friends of Plassenburg Castle organise events revolving around the castle and local history. For decades now the association has been publishing the “Die Plassenburg” series of writings for local historical research and preservation of cultural heritage in Eastern Franconia.
